Top ten Mangaka of all time

Give your objective list of best mangaka of all time. Look at factors like impact on manga industry, pop culture impact, sales, quality of manga, having more than one quality manga under their belt, longevity etc....

    Names to consider:

    - Akira Toriyama(Dragonball)
    - Eichiiro Oda(One piece)
    - Yoshihiro Togashi(HxH, Yu Yu Hakusho)
    - Hirohiko Araki(JJBA)
    - Takehiko Inuoe(Slam dunk, Vagabond)
    - Kentaro Miura(Berserk)
    - Naoki Urasawa(20th Century Boys, Monster, Pluto): Haven’t read any of his work but I’ve heard about it and all of it is acclaimed
    - Osamu Tezuka(Astro boy + shit ton other manga): Considered “Father of manga”. Again not too familiar with much of his work apart from Astro boy but he may well be the most influential manaka ever.

Lots of others I missed as well.

Tbh pretty much agree with this. All of these writers have influenced manga some way or another.

Kaiba is literally trash, haven’t heard jackshit from him in years. I nearly forgot who he was actually, how is he relevant even?

    I liked Yu-Gi-Oh tho

Just check wiki, they've made around the same money and Oda severely outclasses him in manga sales, movie sales etc

Also why would this guy be considered top 10 manga when he hasn't done anything noteworthy in the industry compared to the monsters Luffee mentioned ?

He created the series that's not only selling more than OP, but will outlive it.

OP is near it's final arc where as YGO still has tons of things left

    Same money.

Yugioh was never the top manga in WSJ, never became a best seller to it.

Meanwhile Oda is a manga god having the best selling MANGA in history, his manga breaking multiple records.

This thread is about mangaka not card games.

When I rank who I think is the best mangaka, quality is the only thing I take into consideration. Sales are the last thing on my mind

Meanwhile its merchandise is a smash seller and will keep selling long after OP ends

The manga's merchandise is still related to the manga

I agree with you guys, but the OP did ask us to take sales into consideration.
