    if one city alone can field 30k, then it's certainly possible that multiple cities consolidated together can field 150k. also, kantan didn't ignore the battle of tanko. it was immediately after that battle that kantan sent out an army to oversee the conflict.

    Riboku even mentions that Kantan should have oversee that conflict sooner, that implies only after Tanko they took notice. They where there to oversee that the deal Toukin and Kishou made would go like they settled it.

    This so called war at best 5k vs 12k initially
    Then, become 4k V 20k ....yeah, this scale. It is, unreasonable to believe Kantan would keep close eye fo a battle on scale 50k+.
