    Chapter 1

The plot seems interesting and I like the fact that they are keeping it real. Don't really like stories that have a dangerous setting, yet no one is getting hurt/killed. The MC is one crazy fucker though, the way he rampaged in that war from the opening scene.

I might drop a thought or two for every chapter at the beginning, will see. Feel free to drop by if you've got something to share.

    Chapter 2

    Yup, he punched the bear.

Looks like Sugimoto will be going on a manhunt. It's refreshing to see an MC that doesn't give a damn about others, so long as he can get what he wants. Something like that isn't seen very often and gives you a different angle from a storytelling perspective. The contrast we'll be getting from Asirpa should make for an interesting dynamic between the two.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 3

I was wondering how long it would take before they got into trouble for snooping around like that, but it seems like Sugimoto isn't a pushover. I'm also kinda sceptical about the whole thing, a single prisoner drowning in a lake somewhere and the whole plan fails.

The scars on his body made me curious, is his immortality more than just tales.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 4

Wait, so Sugimoto's not allowed to kill either? How are they supposed to deal with ex cons, headhunters, soliders and everyone else if they'll be pulling punches?

Carrying all those paintings seems like a bother and they'll be prone to stealing.

No face on the big bad, huh.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 5

Even the best unit knows not to underestimate Sugimoto. Glad he put his foot down and said he'll do anything to protect his life.

I like the details that are thrown every now and then, like the explanation of the hut or how the squirrel is prepared, reminds me of Toriko and Terra formars.

The squirrel brain scene was funny.

    Chapter 6

We got a bit of backstory and got introduced to the escape artist, nothing too thrilling until they start falling down the cliff.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 7

Things are getting hectic and we got to see some more, what look to be, important figures; the Samurai, Hijikata Toshizou and the masked man, who I assume to be Noppera.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 8

Seems like we'll be getting a lot of food comedy, this time with hare eyes and miso.

The 4 guys that appeared while they were scouting the bear den came out of nowhere, but I suppose they're sweeping the area because they know someone is there.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 9

Both Sugimoto and Asirpa got caught, but it looks like they'll be saved by the wolf and bear.

Didn't know bears walked back through their tracks to lose hunters. Are they that smart?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 10

Momma bear gone sleeping after tearing the soldiers apart. She quite literally...

    ...shaved his face.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Chapter 11

Even the wolf is a softie?

    And that bear cub scene.

Letting the soldier live is one thing, but lying about is just wrong on so many levels. It seems like he's after the wolf, but it wouldn't surprise me if the whole village got into trouble because of it.

    Chapter 12

Teaching people important life lessons through spirituality, huh.

Ushiyama the undefeated, the sex addict whose specialty appears to be dodging katanas while naked.

Looks like there will be two strong factions opposing Sugimoto, both lead by the men introduced in ch 7.

Alright, that's enough for the evening, gotta get up early.

So far the series is quite enjoyable; the plot gets you caught up easily, the characters are interesting and there's a sense of impending danger everywhere they go that only breaks in short intervals of light, well timed humor. Haven't really caught onto anything that I would consider a flaw so far.

Agreed with how the plot gets you up to date fast. It doesn't really waste that much time drawing out anything, but at the same time doesn't feel like it's ramming concepts down your throat and forces you to believe it. It's more than implied but isn't drafted out in full. A good balance.

    But the humor is undeniable.

None that have been fleshed out to be honest, apart from Sugimoto and Asirpa obviously. Hijikata seems like he'll be an interesting character, but he hasn't really done a lot so far.
