    Really like the chapter.

Can't wait to see what Luffy is going to do when he comes out of the mirror.

Im not sure about that, but Im pretty certain that Pudding will alter the memories of Oven and co. so that Sanji gets the chance to escape.

That sounds more plausible. I like it.

It didn't even look like Kata collapsed from the damage. Looked like he just said I'm good and didn't want to fight anymore knowing Luffy wasn't going to stop.

Vinnesmokes incoming next chapter, FP helping by sea. The BM pirates will have no clue of course.

That was some pathetic durability and stamina for a first mate.

He doesn't look like he could go 5 days with his peers.

I think it's more pathetic offense. He had about 9 hours of constant attacking where Luffy couldn't throw anything back. At the risk of reviving Admiral/Yonkou debates, imagine Akainu having 9 hours attacking Whitebeard where the latter couldn't respond...

Not sure how the Yonkou go forward after this arc, to be honest. Oh well.

Not everyone dies because they want to die.

Most of them die against their will

    Another question.

Since Luffy said he’s going to beat big mom, is she going to be the villain for Elbaf?

That's a possibility since Big Mom is not falling here. But it feels strange for Big Mom to have another arc as the main villain.

Main Villain? She was this arc's Poison Gas/Bird Cage in person form.

Katakuri stood up when Luffy regained his consciousness, instead he could've finished Luffy while he was unconscious. Seems like he wanted to end the fight there and fell of his own.

    @Dellinger;

We should’ve seen this coming. They’re writing fan fiction about how Katakuri “lost on purpose.”

For everyone who has had a massive issue with this fight, here's a brief summary of everything that happened.

    Part 1:
    • Base Luffy pulls Katakuri into mirror world
    • Base Luffy completely overwhelmed by Katakuri in every respect and is taking quite a lot of damage (but nothing insane compared to previous point in the story)
    • Katakuri thinks he finished Luffy with an awakening attack and goes to eat
    • Luffy eats through the attack and then goes gear 4
    • Luffy gets some good shots in on a distracted Katakuri
    • Katakuri retakes the upper hand in a straight battle of G4 and him at full power
    • Luffy is doomed after the time limit of G4 sets in but uses Brulee to escape Katakuri

Luffy has a conversation with Brulee talking about how he wants to start seeing into the future and transcend as a fighter.

    Part 2:
    • Katakuri appears to be dominating Luffy completely as expected as Luffy isn’t even in G4, but through willpower, Luffy is hanging on in the fight
    • Luffy is slowly learning how to glimpse into the future. He is growing in this fight…but still getting dominated
    • Flambe starts interfering with the fight and Katakuri as a result lands a brutal hit on Luffy with the trident
    • Luffy is getting murdered and can barely stand
    • Katakuri sees that Flambe shot Luffy and fatally stabs himself
    • Fights resumes and Luffy seems to have gained reasonable mastery over seeing into the future
    • He’s still getting completely overwhelmed but he’s doing better than before where he couldn’t even predict anything
    • Goes G4 snakeman and with the element of surprise, Luffy starts to land a few hits on Katakuri
    • Katakuri then nails G4 Luffy into the floor
    • After that, they seem to be exchanging blows pretty evenly and clash for the final time
    • Luffy falls first and then Katakuri falls but Luffy gets back up again and Katakuri falls for a final time

Realistically, everyone can see that Luffy is not the same fighter at the end of the fight compared to what he was at the start. This fight will probably represent a huge growth point for Luffy. His various G4 power ups have shown that they are comparable to a yonkou first mate calibre fighter in Katakuri, and he his endurance and tolerance when it comes to taking damage is off the charts (and always has been, for those complaining about how Luffy should've been dead chapters ago). At this stage, Luffy is clearly a threat to top tiers and no one should really whine or complain about that moving forward. That's at least where he needs to be to be relevant at this stage. He's directly opposing yonkous now.

Similarly, I think its time to revise this conception that there is massive gaps between the top tiers and high tiers. Luffy has shown himself capable of bridging these gaps and there are moments in the story that highlight high tiers damaging or at least stall top tiers in the right scenarios. The logic of there being giant gaps between characters (within reason) just doesn't fly anymore. If people stop having these expectations of character A absolutely stomping character B or the notion that certain people are untouchable, I guarantee you won't spend as much time being disappointed by chapters on a weekly basis.

Go back and reread Luffy vs Katakuri from start to finish and it flows very well and in general makes a lot of sense. Luffy pushes beyonds his limits, but its not as outrageous as people seem to think and he quite clearly grows throughout the fight.

Why didn't he finish off Luffy then while he was unconscious?
