Mouten takes this. Ten can usually be caught sweating bullets whenever Mouten is in the room discussing strategy.

On Topic, is Kyoukai considered an instinctual or strategical?

She strategical in 545 she was struggling as well and didn’t know why until she looked at Shin. If she was instinctual she wouldn’t had struggling since Shin wasn’t. Also in 546 she also didn’t understand Shin action when she asked about using the reserves.

Not necessarily. If she is an instinctual type (which I sort of have a theory about instinctual generals), it doesn't necessarily mean she's going to be on the same level as Shin in the same way that Ten and Heki obviously arent on the same level as Ousen.

Kyoukai hasn't done much of anything since she came back, but back in Dakan/Bayou/Sanyou she was clearly strategic (and the team's strategist before Ten arrived).

Mouten stares at her and she becomes infatuated, unable to attack.

On a serious note though :

Round 1 - Mouten wins low-diff. He's quite above Ten in terms of strategy imho and that should suffice. Not to mention, he tends to fight in a way that counters or disrupts the opponent somehow (take Batei for example).

Round 2 - Ten wins mid-diff only because Kyoukai is that beastly and she too is a good intellect and leader at times.

Just because you’re not on the same level doesn’t mean you don't understand the thinking. Shin understood Duke Hyou way of thinking during the Coalition and Shin obviously wasn’t on Duke’s Level. Mouten & Ouhon understood Ousen thinking the moment Kyoukai said Locust.

You're thinking in too simple a terms though. Yes, Shin understood the firestarter and great blaze reference, but so have a million other people (non-instinctual types even). That's a very basic concept. Kyoukai was not able to follow the pace at which Shin and Gyouun were exchanging tactics, so she couldn't get a feel of their battle. That doesn't mean she's not instinctual at all, (although I'm not saying is instinctual either. Im just saying that one scene wouldn't preclude her from being one).

Kyoukai is too much of a game changer with small numbers like those.

    1. Ten gets rekt.

    2. Team Kyoukai mid-high diff.
