    Nyx's recommended books

    I will be giving you guys some great reads daily/weekly in this thread.

    Lets start off with a hidden gem of sorts, the bartimaeus trilogy:

    The main trilogy revolves around the young magician, Nathaniel, the dijini, Bartimaeus, and the non-magical commoner, Kitty Jones. The story is set in an alternate London, where the government is run by magicians, with their slaves, the "demons". The series itself follows Nathaniel as he grows up, and continues to rely on good, old Bartimaeus (5000 years, to be approximate). Nathaniel, now the Information Minister, John Mandrake, soon learns of Kitty, and the elusive Resistance, of which she is a part of. But before long, the commoners start to rebel and riot. Mandrake and Bartimaeus, along with the help of Kitty, must try and bring peace between magicians and commoners, before everything is too late.

    You guys would probably like this.

    Our second series is going to be a bit mainstream, but if you havent read it, you simply must.
    The maze runner series. (THE MOVIES ARE TRASH)

    (The kill order really isnt as interesting as the previous 3, though.)
    A number of teenagers, who call themselves "The Gladers", are left in a strange place which they call "the Glade". Beyond the walls of the Glade is the ever-changing maze, with its horrifying creatures, the Grievers. Every month a newcomer, a greenie, joins the Gladers, sent by a lift with all past memories (except language and other common things) wiped out. The only thing that they really do remember is their name. The ultimate goal of the Gladers, is to find a way out of the Glade. To do so, the runners venture into the Maze every day, to map it in an attempt to find a pattern in the Maze that would lead them to find an exit. When Thomas, a curious newcomer, arrives at the Glade and ventures into the Maze, unusual things begin to happen
    @Efege; @Katyusha; @Makenzye;

    I think you guys would especially like this bundle.

    Next up is a series about Egyptian mythology in modern times, The Kane Chronicles

    Since their mother’s death, Carter and Sadie have become near strangers. While Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London, her brother has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist, Dr. Julius Kane.One night, Dr. Kane brings the siblings together for a “research experiment” at the British Museum, where he hopes to set things right for his family. Instead, he unleashes the Egyptian god Set, who banishes him to oblivion and forces the children to flee for their lives.
    Soon, Sadie and Carter discover that the gods of Egypt are waking, and the worst of them–Set–has his sights on the Kanes. To stop him, the siblings embark on a dangerous journey across the globe–a quest that brings them ever closer to the truth about their family, and their links to a secret order that has existed since the time of the pharaohs.

    You were made to be a TMF poster. You have the right temperament and can exchange insults with anyone. I know the majority of the site hates your entrails, but that just makes you more of a Temeffian to me.

    I figured the stones joke was a Thanos reference, but I guess there was at least one other reference I missed.
