Huh, never noticed this. Though if so- what a dumbass

way to sabotage your entire masterstroke because you wanted to be a 'nice guy'
Duke noticing the elites didn't change a lot tho. Kanyou got the news about Riboku's army coming anyway, because of the cities he conquered on his way and Duke got himself killed by trying to stop Riboku.

In the end the main factor of coalitions failure was Yotanwa showing up in the last moment to save the day.

Yeah, there's a whole "Duke went straight line and thus faster than the sneaky 2nd batch and managed to chase Riboku which has already been far away"

Duke noticing meant he managed to allow the HSU, the Hyou remnants and Heki to reach Sai ahead of Riboku, which would have been fucked without military personnel

Yeah, but again, this could work out only, because Yotanwa was able to come in the last second with her army. If not that, all of this would be meaningless anyway.

Calling Riboku a dumbass, because he didn't know about Qin having a secret alience with Mountain People is unfair.

Who cares about YTW without the HSU Sei don’t even go to Sai because Sai wouldn’t be able to hold out without Shin beasting, Ten basically being CIC, Heki and the Duke Hyou remnants.

And again, all of that would be meaningless if not Yotanwa coming to the rescue. Which Riboku couldn't predict, because he didn't know about the allience.

You’re not understanding the chain of events.

Riboku ask for elites > Duke Hyou notices the elites > Kanyou finds out about Riboku > Duke Hyou catch up > Kanyou finds out Duke Hyou caught up > Duke Hyou death > Kanyou inform of the Duke death > Sei decide to leave for Sai > Sei ask YTW for reinforcement> Sei arrives at Sai.

Without Riboku asking for the elites we never get to YTW or Sei at Sai with the HSU etc holding out for 7 days and Sai falls in a day. Riboku not knowing about the reinforcement is irrelevant.

You mixed things up. Sei said himself that he send the messengers to Yotanwa BEFORE he left Kanyou. The messengers took their time to go to the Moutain City (according to the map that's 2-3 days of travel), then go back (another 2-3 days) and inform Sei that Yotanwa is not there. And Yotanwa coming from her battlefield took at least 7-8 days (maybe even more since she was in the middle of war).

With that being said, Sei had to send the message when he heard about cities being conquered or possibly even earlier.
