Shouldnt be part of a mandatory dedicated course, optional however sure.

It's role and influence in history however is a nobrainer to be taught

Yes, they should be taught about all world religions.

The real world is cold! The real world doesn't care about spirit! You want to be a hero? Then play the part and die like every other Huntsman in history! As for me, I'll do what I do best: lie, steal, cheat and survive!

They already teach religion here until high-school.

Did not know they don't teach them in other countries.

    Education system should be private.

Then the parents would choose themselves what their kids are learning.

They should be taught about all religions, yes. But I mean, in Canada there are already Catholic school systems in place.

    Make more sense.

I see the benefit of that but the school isn't a religious institute, imagine the time and effort needed.

You can teach about religion in a public school. Like in my 9th grade history class we were introduced to the basics of religion.
I wouldn't be opposed to reading a chapter or two from the Bible in an english class. I'm about to finish the New Testament tomorrow and there are a few interesting stories.
There can also be religion-centered electives in high school/college.

Taught about religions who have had large influence on history being taught? Yep.

But religion simply being taught such as bible studies or whatever? Nah.

Everyone should be taught a basic overview of as many belief systems as is reasonable, with an emphasis on the main belief systems. This includes both the basic tenants of these systems as well as their impact on history. I believe that by educating ourselves about the ways of other people we foster an environment of cooperation and unity.

I also believe parents should make sure their children are very well educated in regards to their own beliefs. As much emphasis should be placed on this as is placed on math or science. But no one should be forced to learn a religion in this detail that they don’t believe in.
    No.

You learn about religion in history classes, but if you're talking about straight up church classes in school, absolutely not.
