Rinbukun took time to defeat Rokuomi(90) while SHK fodderizes a (90) with two moves.

Obviously Juuteki was not 90 and his stats were wrong

Will Heki's parents disown him after this?

All his parents' bribes and Sei's blatant political endorsement all built up to this

Gokei/SHK/Keisha may have some ability martially but they'd still get destroyed by guys far weaker than what you think Gyou'un has to be. I'll use the Rinbukun example again (for the 93) - he destroys Haku Kisai + Kyuugen + SHK, he beats Batei/Kisui, he likely beats Akou, he destroys Keisha's subs. He can be the only source of martial strength RSJ has and it's still brilliant, especially when combined with RSJ's brains. Importantly though, Gyou'un isn't the only source of martial strength. Riboku said RSJ's martial strength is from his generals - i.e more than one. He also has Chougaryu. Gyou'un just happened to be the best.

Gyou'un (93) + Chougaryu (90) would be more than enough martial ability when you combine them with RSJ. It covers everything. I think this is where people are too easy to hand out high stats again. It happens every single time, and every time the stats come out they're always less than what people predicted. It happened during the coalition war and it happened again a few months ago.

That would make a pretty strong army but far from the might of Renpa´s army with is 97 strenght, Rinko's 93, Kaishibou's 91, Kyouen's 90 and also with the strategist Genbou. That would make Renpa's army much much better than RSJ's, because Renpa is also very good at tactics and instinct. For RSJ to be able to match at least partially the might of Renpa he would need at least a 95/96 strong General IMO.

The only GGs that we have seen capable of standing against Renpa´s army were Ouki with Tou, Roukomi, Kanou, etc and maybe Ribouku with Houken, etc. If RSJ only had a General of 93 strenght and another with 90 strenght, given that he didn´t have any strenght himself, the overall power of his army would have been a far cry of Renpa´s, Ousen´s, and Ribouku´s armies.

Riboku would need all the deputies he's had so far to beat Renpa

This new martial guy is anywhere from 93 str-96.

Ranbihaku was 94 and that was already plenty good. 95-96 is probably a stretch.

It depends of how good really are SSJ and Bananji. Riboku + Houken + SSJ + Bananji vs Renpa + 4GH would be a very interesting match.

Either way, even if Renpa is still better they are very close, RSJ with only a General with 93 strenght and another one with 90 would be very far from those armies.

Well I consider Renpa to be the best among the Great Heavens anyway, so there is that. But RSJ at 98 intelligence for eg, means he could still win in certain situations if he can create a tactic that puts Renpa in trouble. It's dangerous to look too close at the stats and essentially think "A 96 intelligence + 97 strength will always beat a 98 intelligence + 80 strength". I don't think it works that way - it might sometimes, but not always. The stats aren't everything because there are things not incorporated within them. Ousen with his 97 intelligence just created a strategy that Riboku with his 100 couldn't even imagine, for instance.
