    Net Neutrality

Alright, I don't really know what this is about, but I see that there is some sort of vote happening on December 14th. I under the gist of it being that Internet will become slower/you'll have to pay for it, but that's about it. What are your thoughts on this topic?

It's more the internet provider can pick and choose which service receives how much broadband access and can charge for that specifically. So like if you the customer wanted to watch Netflix or Youtube, they might come in differently despite you paying a flat price for a certain amount of internet broadband. Here in the US, Comcast is the biggest internet provider would basically be able to dictate how other companies can function by charging them specifically for access to internet as a service as opposed to a utility, and those costs usually get passed on to the customer. The problem is Comcast can renegotiate those deals as it sees fit and since cable companies in America are famously grouped in ways they don't have to compete with one another it tends to only negatively affect us when Comcast is given more grip on how internet works.

And that doesn't include how other cable providers might operate in different regions entirely.

Mak summed it up p well.

tl;dr net neutrality helps the users and hurts the ISPs ability to cherrypick bandwidth, this would also effectively allow them to silence whichever website they want.

Keep net neutrality the way it is.

People have been freaking about it for years now but it still has not happened.

Then again this seems to only concern us?

if this goes through the entire world has suffered, and we never had a republican majority for a vote like this.

This is a direct attack on free speech because internet providers will be able to block certain sites and charge you depending on what content you're looking for. Just what I'd expect from jews(comcast is run by jews).

If we don’t have net neutrality protections that enforce tenets of fairness online, you give internet service providers the ability to choose winners and losers,” Steve Huffman, chief executive of Reddit, said in an interview. “This is not hyperbole.
    We just lost.

Now we enter the stage of supercompanies suing the FCC and this becoming a court thing (already started, you can look up the bills in congress already, with other giants saying a lawsuit from their side is also going to get rolling soon).

While yeah, the vote swung this way, it was obvious. The actual fight for this just only started.
