    who?
He's a top ranking hero from America who has decided to make his new home in Japan to dodge sexual related lawsuits in America. So far he's been shown to do things like lift ocean liners without much difficulty.

    I thought that wasn't canon.
I thought it was just a prequel leading into BnHA. I thought it was canon. If not, please disregard.

Well, there is Stain, Ingenium and other heroes in Vigilante, so I don't see why it shouldn't be considered as canon. It doesn't contradict with the main story as well.

it's more about actually being aknowledged by the author which I thought it wasn't.

I might be wrong, havent looked into it

I'm agreeing. I think the reason why he was such a dangerous enemy was how his quirk worked and how he normally just ambushed people. He's powerful, no doubt about that because it took quite a bit of power between Ingenium II and Deku to lay him low, and he just straight up overwhelmed Todoroki who up to that point was just a powerhouse.

Even now, I don't think any of these heroes could hope to beat Stain individually and would require a combined effort, but I'm not sure if he's high "A" class. Maybe middle or lower A class.
the thing is the story made a point out of how Stain actually had multiple opportunities to kill them but didn't.

if he was serious about getting rid of Todoroki and Deku they'd be in pieces.

    Agreed. I didn't think I implied differently.

Stain was pretty much playing with them the entire time until the end when he was taken by surprise, and it needed the power of both Deku and Ingenium II to finish it.

Yeah, at any rate. I do think Stain is fine where he is right now.

Yeah, I also think Stain is being overrated. I'd take guys like Gran Torino, Gang Orca, Eraserhead & Best Jeanist over him

    Best jeanist def over stain.

Like my heart wants Stain to be high on the tier list, but logically I don't see any of the top five heroes losing to kids like stain did. Surprise or not.

Pretty sure Stain is alright where he is for now, like he made Gran Torino and Endeavour nearly crap their pants when he called em fake and said he'd only allow all might to kill him.

RIP Chester, you'll always be loved and missed.

    Charisma does not equal power.

Drawing blood from a top tier hero isn't so easily accomplished.

Why would they be scared from Stain's Bloodlust / Aura, if they easily outnumbered him with supposedly such "superior" heroes such as Endeavour and Gran Torino.

Some people are deathly afraid of mayonnaise.

These guys aren't Captain Ultra. Their fears aren't shown to be made of odd things.

I stand by what I said, Stain is overrated, him being a fan favorite probably plays a part in that. Tbh, Gang Orca's feats > Stain's

Technically we haven't seen enough of endeavor to know for sure

Seriously though, my point is that being afraid of something doesn't mean much. The author made it a point to call what stain had, charisma.

And if we're going to argue semantics, then we could just as easily say that the blood lust that made endeavor and Gran T afraid was effective was because it took them by surprise.

I mean he cut ingenium a hero based of speed. Also he trained for a really long time so his skill is pretty high up there.

The implication with that was the stain felt so strongly about his ideals that the other's didn't have the will to fight not that they couldn't fight him.

All heroes train for a long time, but as far as we know inginum wasn't a top tier hero, nor was he a combat specialist.

I want to agree with you guys, but he just doesn't have the feats.
