-If you are interested in joining, feel free to post here to let me know so I can add you to the list. If you aren't a member, but you've watched the movie you can join the discussion, but you can't pick a movie.

-Members have 1 week to watch the film that has been chosen. Members MUST watch and discuss it unless they have a legitimate excuse, in which case they should tell us about it. So Monday the film is chosen, and Sunday is the last day to watch it.

-Discussion will take place in this thread naturally. There will be spoilers so if you haven't watched the film yet, you might want to not look through the thread. Unless you don't care about being spoiled.

-Penalty: First timers get a free pass, second timers lose their turn for one cycle, and third timers lose their turn for two cycles.

-If you have any trouble finding or just want me to provide you with download/streaming links. Just say so.

This week's film is picked by me, and it's Predestination.

    Week 1 - Predestination

    Week 2 - Drunken Master

    Week 3 - Unforgiven

    Week 4 - Moulin Rouge

    Week 5 - Bicentennial Man

The real world is cold! The real world doesn't care about spirit! You want to be a hero? Then play the part and die like every other Huntsman in history! As for me, I'll do what I do best: lie, steal, cheat and survive!

Never heard of it so I googled.

A temporal agent (Ethan Hawke) embarks on a final time-traveling assignment to prevent an elusive criminal from launching an attack that kills thousands of people.
    Sounds interesting.

    What even was this film

Why did I just watch a film about a transvestite who travelled back in time and fell in love with himself when he was a girl

    He/She's not a transvestite.

I thought others would be entertained the way I was. I also picked it because of the obscurity, and the theme. I've seen several movies where people are supposedly predestinied to repeat the same mistakes or new ones if they ever change it just a little bit, until the end. Where everyone besides a person or two gets a happy ending, but this one was...

I find Jane and John's relationship so odd. They are the same person, but at the same time not. A person incapable of finding love anywhere else finds it in themselves, but by his predestined occupation is not allowed to give himself the love they want too. A person that is not capable of existing without meeting themself, because the agency need that person stop themself from destroying all the good they've done. To repeat the same thing over again.

It's a strange, but an awesome concept. I also liked Ethan and Sara's performance in this.
