    New World Crocodile

First and foremost, do you think Crocodile will make a return in the New World? If so, when and how powerful would he be? Is it possible he could be a mid-high tier character at that point comparable to Sanji or Smoker?

I'm hoping current Luffy level but being realistic he is probably around Sanji level.

Of he's going to return. It would be nice if he was buffed to Luffy level.

So, ultimately a bit weaker than the Luffy present when he makes his appearance, but as powerful as Luffy is at WCI?

Luffy didn't really get that much more powerful in these few weeks between DR and WCI imo. Croc should sit around G2/3 lvl imo.

Ah, I thought you meant G4. And true.

He'll definitely return. As for his strength, he'll never be as strong as Luffy. He already surpassed him back in Chapter 209. Having him be as strong as Luffy or stronger wouldn't make any sense as far as that's all concerned. That said, I think there's plenty of room for him at the very least to be as strong as Sanji and most likely stronger, but below Zoro and Luffy. So still in the M3 range and a powerful contender, especially with his already deadly Devil Fruit. I mean, add at least Sanji levels of physical abilities, more mastery of the Suna, and haki and you have yourself a deadly Sand logia ready to cause some real damage.

When he returns, Crocodile is probably at the relative level he was supposed to be at, when Oda wanted the manga to last 10 years. At the time, Crocodile was probably supposed to be super strong. Now, it wouldnt make sense to just make him a top tier, but I honestly wont be surprised if he is Doflamingo level or higher when we see him again. In fact, it is kinda required to have relevance from here on out. Naturally, at that point, Luffy will be stronger than he is now, allowing Croc to be somewhere between Luffy and Doflamingo.

Maybe that's why we havent seen him yet, Oda is letting the power creep work for him, so he doesnt fall in the same trap with Crocodile twice..

I highly doubt the reason Crocodile hasn't shown up is because Oda is saving his strength. At this point, that hardly matters. We just haven't had any time for Crocodile, is all. There has been no good place for him to pop up as it's been one big thing after another. Besides, Luffy already said that he's been wanting to say thanks to the people that helped save his life eventually but he hasn't had a lot of time to go looking for anyone. It's just been mess followed by a bigger mess followed by an even bigger one.

For example, this simple "get Sanji back" turned into "assassinate Big Mom". Luffy has no chill in these matters. The earliest Crocodile will show up, I think will be the Wano arc maybe but more than most likely after it.

I'm sure he'll show up again. Oda put way too much emphasis on him for him not to show up. I'm sure he'll be a big deal strength-wise too.

It would be cool if he were kinda close to Luffy and Zoro, but him being around Sanji level is more realistic.

I agree with this. There's no reason for him to return in Wano either. Him being about Sanji level (most reasonable area I think) wouldn't help the alliance at all take down Kaido. If anything I could see him showing up when the Straw Hats begin to approach Raftel or the final leg before it.

He'll show up again, but I'm not really sure when or where. Wano is already going to be a very crowded arc and he has no real connection to anything going on there, so I'm guessing sometime later on.

It'd be interesting to see him come back stronger than expected.

Granted I say that about Moriah, too.

He should be far superior to Moriah (at the least the Moriah we saw in TB) when he returns.

Really hoping him, Lucci and Enel can all return with large strength increases.

Hope Doffys returns in some form, it'd be a shame if we never saw him again, it shouldn't probably be until the last arc if he does return though.

    100% he is coming back

Honestly I don't know when, probably not anytime soon. The longer Oda holds him off the stronger he probably when he is re-introduced into the series, some sort of power creep so he can be relevant in fights later down the road with top-tiers.

He'll have awakened his fruit and start mixing Haki with his sand. Don't think he'll be much stronger physically to keep him consistent. Maybe he'll start fighting like Marvel's Sandman some of the time so he doesn't need to be physically strong to survive. Am kind of worried how Oda will depict him to keep him relevant.

Why would you hope he stayed even with Luffy?? That's just incredibly unfair to Luffy and definitely Sanji.
