Sony is making a Venom movie with Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock.
I'm not so sure about the director being right for this one. Let's hope the writers are good.

Looks like MCU won't get that Venom/Carnage storyline in their new Spiderman movies. Which is very sad, but I'll take Hardy over the new kid playing Flash in Spiderman homecoming.

Would be nice. But I don't think it's going to be that kind of movie. Sony is making their own MCU.

The way Sony has always talked about it they want more "Lethal Protector" Brock Venom as opposed to "Good Soldier" Thompson Venom.

Still not seeing this being dark. I think they can make it a bit darker than the Winter Soldier movie, and that's it. If they made it as dark as some of the comics. I'd be happier.

I'm not enthused with Sony still holding the reigns but casting Tom Hardy? What? I'm not sure how this will turn out. Sony has done terrible with Spiderman recently but Tom Hardy is gold.

I heard rumors that the movie Life was supposed to be the prequel to the venom movie. In the end of the movie the alien parasyte makes it to earth with the survivor in the escape pod.
