I agree with Pacifista, it doesnt make sense for him to cry, is like Pudding got him to "be in love" in a day... What happened to his feelings for Nami or Robin? Just remember the Nami scene where she had a wedding dress. I think Sanji forced himself to like Pudding and I honestly hope he is crying for deception and for being in such a shitty situation.
Jesuschrist, I hope he is the one that fucking kicks Pudding's face.
Becuase in a situation where he leaves the SH crew (which he already accepted to be the only way out of this mess), Pudding would be the only person around him worth living for. That's why she was his only ray of hope. Nothing shallow about it.
Makes perfect sense if you don't dismiss the most important part of every character's emotional struggle - the flashback. Notice what Pudding says right before he sheds tears.
Also, I don't see what being "at this point in the story" has anything to do with it.
I know everything looks bad for Sanji but his road to glory is going to be so sweet, we just have to be patient. He deserves the backlash if he continues to be sink into depression but I'll give him the pass this chapter because that can be a tough pill to swallow considering everything that led up to that point
Yall some hardasses. Sanji is most probably not crying because of Pudding. He must be incredibly disappointed in himself. The guy left his crew to meet with a Yonko, because otherwise she would've killed them all, and everyone he knew. Vito explained very clearly. His friends now are in deep shit for coming to rescue his ass. He knows marrying Pudding is the only way he can keep the people he loves the most alive and safe. Imgine finding out you've been played, hearing that your friends will die for having come to help your ass out. He definitely feels guilty about it and ashamed for what he's caused to the group.
You guys just want a "hurr durr im so mad ill go kick a yonkos ass and rescue my pals" which is not realistic at all.
Also good Dahye shit @Marcelle;
Ray is back
if reddit one piece wasn't thoroughly red pilled by last chapter, this chapter will make them eat all the shit they dished out for the past 5 months.

also I think jinbe will die
Good to get an update on Jimbei. At least now we know his plans.
Capone and Caesar are still the biggest wildcards, though. They have the ability to royally screw over Big Mom. But I wonder if the Firetank Pirates are privy to Big Mom's plans concerning the Vinsmokes. Will they be in on the plan to gun down Germa 66?
As much as I believe Sanji should man the hell up I can't help but feel bad for him. I wonder whether it will be Reiju or Nami that pushes Pudding's face in.
But my God Brooke you badass. "Young Lady"
That is a true man right here.
Still want Vinsmokes to get their faces caved in wayyyyy more than Pudding. I actually laughed a little when Pudding was making fun of Sanji's faces she became a lot more entertaining this chapter and unlike the Vinsmokes she isn't related to Sanji or knows him like the Vinsmokes.
I don't think Pudding has done anything to put her on the level of scumbaggery that are the Vinsmokes. She doesn't seem any bad than any standard conniving pirate. And she's fun to watch.
Why the hell are people bitching about Sanji crying? Pudding was literally his last hope for saving his friends and having a life after that that isnt complete shit despite him having his abusive family around him all the time.
His cry is not just due to Pudding not truly loving him but more because of Luffy and co being basically dead atm just like Sanji himself. He sacrificed everything just to find out it was all for nothing. Its not like he can instantly think of a plan when Big Mom has people like her commanders that are already stronger than Luffy + her whole freaking army. Its not like Sanji is just a piece of rock that isnt effected by things like that.
Anyone else noticed that Puddin attacked Reiju because she saw her third eye?

My bad it was the opposite
I never said he should try to tell his family. Just handle shit in ways he has done before. Hell he could mention it during the ceremony and either chaos ensues or the BM's have to slightly change their plans looking suspicious in the process. He is a blindspot, an opening to change the dire circumstances. He is obviously going to have a Prince moment so the tears are unnecessary.

No one wants him to fly into a rage. Just immediately think of a way to use the hand he has now been dealt which is better than before since no one knows he knows.
I don't see why it can't be both, I expected tears, definitely. But I also expected rage, if not for pudding at least for himself as well.
Anyways, top moment for me this chapter was brook not being scared by Big Mom and just being badass there, I'm glad Oda didn't put up some weird gag scene of making brook look terrified of big mom.
Nami should just die at this point.
I don't mind tears if it was he was disappointed in himself, but it should be followed up by determination and him returning to his real self.
I suppose that can still happen next chapter but it would have been better here.
Either way, I can't wait for Mr. Prince to make a comeback and tear shit apart.
As for Brook, obviously Big Mom is putting no effort into this. What was awesome was Brook's attitude, not the fact that he's 'fighting' Big Mom.
Seriously, Brook has been on fire this arc. I hope Oda keeps him like this.
"Don't count the days, make the days count"
"Cersei is as gentle as King Maegor, as selfless as Aegon the Unworthy, as wise as Mad Aerys. She never forgets a slight, real or imagined. She takes caution for cowardice and dissent for defiance. And she is greedy. Greedy for power, for honor, for love."
