Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Worried but optimistic. As far as the cast and staff are concerned, it's very likely they won't screw up and it will be a worthy sequel (not that Blade Runner needed one ><). And did they get Vangelis to compose the soundtrack again? That would be fucking awesome.

that's also my stand on it, I don't think it needs a sequel but with the team they got together it's really hard to say no

to answer your question, Vangelis won't be coming back unfortunately, they hired Jóhann Jóhannsson for the soundtrack this time (another great composer) but yeah, it would have been nice if they had the original composer on board
