    It seems realistic. Basically what mafia does in the dark is all stuff these noble families used to do in daylight, with the due differences related to the different time period. I'd say Mafia has a lot more moral principles though, while in last Middleages / early Renaissance everything was legitimate as long as you invented a justification-facade, even really dumb ones, to masquerade it.

    I'm watching it when I have time, probably tomorrow.

    So I can confirm with my sources what's true and what's less likely to be true. I've seen a lot of american documentaries on European things telling a lot of horsecrap, so I want to make sure it isn't the case with this one.

    @Crispinianus;

    Have you watched the series yet? I've only seen the first episode.

    It's a finnish book by estlander-hietakari titled "jokamiehen maailmanhistoria" which translates to everyman's world history. My mom found it in a school she works in

    Thanks to Myst~

    Were there really world war 2 evil japanese experiments on children? Or is that just a myth.

    Dark history is fascinating. But i want to see if this hold any truth. Apparently they experimented and held freak corcuses during that time

    Thanks to Myst~

    I had a bit of a google search, found this
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

    "Instead of being tried for war crimes, the researchers involved in Unit 731 were secretly given immunity by the U.S. in exchange for the data they gathered through human experimentation."

    Scary stuff. Yet never spoken about.

    Thanks to Myst~

    To determine the treatment of frostbite, prisoners were taken outside in freezing weather and left with exposed arms, periodically drenched with water until frozen solid. The arm was later amputated; the doctor would repeat the process on the victim's upper arm to the shoulder. After both arms were gone, the doctors moved on to the legs until only a head and torso remained. The victim was then used for plague and pathogens experiments.
    More i read less i want to know.

    Thanks to Myst~
