lolSting
Oh and there really isn't a Giogio that is big enough for this chapter![]()

I'm going to be purely optimistic and assume (against any and all higher thinking) that it ended this way so Sting can fight dragons or something, since many of the big players of Fairy Tail (and the other guilds) are worn out.
Assuming dragons are actually coming and whatnot.
God I can't reconcile this. I give up.![]()
So the main villain of Sabertooth gets owned in one chapter.![]()
Gray is such a faggot.
One of the hottest, if not the hottest, chick in Fairy Tail wants to live in his pants and he still hasn't gotten with her. He doesn't even have any legit reasons.
The best thing that can be said about this chapter that it was indeed an outcome that nobody in their right mind would have made so I guess Mashima could gets prop for that.
Wow it is almost like Mashima aimed to make the most ridiculous and anti-climatic end to the tournament . You really have to try to be that awful.
How so?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
At least Jura went down with a really tough fight that Laxus barley won. Erza's secound origin while stupidly executed was established.

Not really Luxus was shown to be a monster before and after the timeskip. It is only fight Laxus fought to date where he had to give everything he had to win. Even the fight with Hades, that he gave his power before he went down.
How is it more stupid than Sting giving up out of nowhere for no good reason?

And that was stupid too.
Laxus was never shown to be that strong and now he is. It's stupid.
He soloed the whole Raven Tail guild without too much trouble. Do you think that Ivan was weak or something? Mashiam made Lacus monstrously strong but unlike this chapter, he at least build it up beforehand.

Yup.
You can't justify any aspect of this series power structure. It's impossible.
He was not. Laxus was just that strong. Mashima purposely highlighted his defeating the Raven Tail Guild as the ease on why he could stand up to Jura. We have no reason no assume that the son of Makarov and Guild Master should be weak.
I agree but I do think that compared to most of the nonsensical crap in this series, you are picking on one of least worst examples. If anything it was foreshadowed that Laxus was that powerful. People just decided that Raven Tail were just weaklings becasue they lost to Laxus.
I am confused on how you think that is worst than this chapter.

Except him getting embarrassed by his grandson. Ivan was a lot weaker than he logically should have been, no denying that.
It was never foreshadowed Laxus was strong enough to beat someone like Jura. In fact, it was clear Jura was stronger than him and Laxus won because lolnakamapower.
Pretimeskip:
Natsu is fodder to Gildartz.
Natsu is also fodder to Laxus as well.
Jura = Pre-timeskip Gildarts accoridng to Makarov, it's not a stretch that current Laxus could be stronger than Pre-timeskip Gildartz.
Ivan is Laxus's father, not grandfather. Ivan should have been a larger threat but Mashima wanted to go down the route of Laxus being immensely powerful that even his father couldn't stand up to him.
Sure it is lame as hell but it is at least been build up.
Compared to Naruto/Gajeel getting their asses kicked by DF Sting to Natsu defeating Sting and Rouge at the same time without using his full power. That was almost as retarded as this chapter.
Here we have Sring being build up after his crushing defeat as the strongest member in Sabertooth. With the incentive that he must win for his friend. He now gives up with foreshadowing whatsoever or any explanation makes one iota of sense.
