    Kingdom Anime Discussion Thread

I saw one episode and it seemed decent enough. How does it compare to the manga overall though?

I haven't watched the anime, but the people who I've spoken to recommended the manga above the anime.

Manga probably has more bloodshed and whatnot. Probably no nudity either.

I havenīt read the manga yet, but the anime skips the assasination arc in between Xinīs first battle and the Zhao vs. Qin battle. Itīs also almost completely caught up to the manga with only about 67 episodes made, so its probably lacking a lot of the detail in the manga.

Caught up to the manga as is caught up to the scanlation or up to the actual series?

caught up to the scanlation. Its in the middle of the second wei battle.

Its okay, the almost complete and total lack of bloodshed reduces the tension of wars drastically though.

Yeah, the general consensus is the anime doesn't hold a candle to the manga.

    Anime is crap
    the soundtrack is awful
the use of CG images is repulsive
It's boring despite the fast pacing
they skipped an important arc of the story

The anime isnīt crap. Iīd say its pretty damn good, no where near as good as the manga, but pretty good nonetheless.

I've finished watching a couple of episodes. The quality really isn't great at all. The choppy movements of the characters is noticceable as soon as they're on screen and as a result the fights are fairly lackluster. It kind of reminds of old video game graphics. Still, the quality of the plot and the characters still shines through. However since it actually skips arcs from the manga itself, it makes more sense to read the actual manga itself so you can really enjoy it.

In the anime the Wei vs. Qin battle is nearing it's end. Mougu just fought with Renpa. Overall I think the anime is doing a pretty good job and I enjoy it a lot.

I thought they reached that point a while back?

I really like how Ouhon, Shin and Sei look in the anime, but Mouten looks even odder than I thought he would. I always imagined him with brown hair and bright red robes.

I already had noticed Mouten had light brown hair in the anime, but his skin didn't look this pale

They finished off the wei war pretty good. Shin vs. Rinko was done pretty well, and so was KyouKai's stand. I wasn't really able to appreaciate Mougou's mountain defense as well as I did in the manga though.

Ten doesn't look bad actually. His colouring suits his dandy appearance.

    They made Mouten ginger?

The pink robes suit him, though.

Mouten's color scheme fit's his personallity. He reminds me of that chill shimigami captain that that has a pink color scheme, and drinks tea.
