    Why You Should Read Kingdom.

Kingdom is really good once you get into it, though it takes awhile. I remember that I tried reading it like 5 different times and always gave up. Once it actually gets into the warfare parts though, it's really good. The characters are all interesting and well-written. There is a lot of really interesting characters in it (Ouki & Kanki) The politics part of this manga really separates itself from all the other war manga's I've read. The series focuses a lot on politics and war.

Their's an anime and a manga. I'd recommend the Manga though.

Plus you get 4+ chapters every week.

Because it's like the Seinen Toriko. Characters and their prowess is ridiculously larger than life and the emphasis is on brutal, bloody, grandiose and gritty battles where total badasses contend both strategically and personally, while still managing to keep a surprisingly (and relatively speaking, because the stuff that happens ain't light-hearted) light tone to avoid feeling depressing. Plenty of tight political maneuvering as well with its own giants. Also, 6 chapters per week.

Sounds awesome. Will check it out today hopefully.

    How long are the chapters?

16 pages a pop. That's still pretty crazy though. The mangaka must have some help getting so many chapters out in a week.

First few chapters are rather long though, but worth it so far

Nah, the chapters are being released this way because the scanslators haven't caught up with the series yet, so they're churning them out pretty quickly. In like... half a year or so, I think, it'll be down to the usual 1 chapter per week.

If you liked golden age arc of Berserk and Vinland Saga. You should like Kingdom. Historical fiction with exaggerated reality such as depictions of nigh-superhuman strength.

That makes a lot more sense.

Anyways, I have been wanting to stumble upon a manga like this for years. I'm not even exaggerating, this is exactly what I was hoping for and then some. And I've still got just over 200 chapters to go through.

    Is Kingdom anime good?

For example SNK anime was very good - I watched it and then finished the Manga.

Rob always has the last word. In fact, I'd argue that Rob > God.

At least Rob wouldn't give us the appendix and call it an intelligent design.

Well, my friend from NF has been wanting me to start Kingdom for a while now.
Knowing me as well as he does, he said I should start with the anime, seeing as I tend to not have things grow on me as well when I'm reading them.

So I'll watch the anime for a while, and then switch to the manga. It's mainly to just get me hooked.

The anime's terrible Rob, read the manga. Far superior. Not only that but the anime has skipped entire arcs that had lots of character development. It also skips stuff that doesn't focus primarily on Shin. You'll be missing out on a lot of relevant stuff if you don't read from the start of the manga. The pacing for the manga is great as well so you'll probably enjoy it anyhow.

Kingdom has a lot of realism and is very consistent. The battles are very well thought out and they resemble actual warfare. It isn't overly focused on the maincharacter and has a faily large amount of relevent character. It's also very well written.
