To clarify, I mean who you live with, parents and siblings vs. parents, siblins, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents etc.

Nuclear.

Not saying that extended family should be ignored. I've meet tons of people who live with extended families, and their always meddling in their affairs. That's not something I'd like.

In an extended family I wouldn't have much privacy, my business would be everyone elses, and I would have a hard time accomplishing what I need to do because I am not sure the attention would be diveded evenely.

And that's in a normal family :marco

I just like doing things by myself.

Honestly Extended.

When I was a kid my famz used to own an apartment and it used to be mad chill, now I live in a nuclear household and It's not nearly as fun. It's nice to be around extended family but I can see how people who haven't had the chance of experiencing it would be turned off by the idea.

You probably live with an extended family and I have lived with a nuclear one most of my life. It's just what we are used to. :zaru

No family system. I hate most of my family sadly.

I live with my mom, dad and sister. The rest of my family is overseas, but I can honestly say that I think the extended family system is faaaaar better. I don't see any appeal whatsoever in the nuclear family system.

I'm just a loner though, and most of my family doesn't get along.

I like living in an extended family. I don't think there would be enough personal space in an extended family.

Nuclear. Extended is too much to be around.

I don't know, never experienced the extended family system. At this point it would be hard for me to imagine it, it's been so long since I've seen a lot of them.

I was raised in a nuclear family setting. With every weekend's we would go to our grandma, and I'd see all my cousins and shit, it was fun. Also the fact that in my cousins there are more family members of my precise age, but more importantly my interests and such. Meaning we can have interesting conversations and stuff all the time.

So if I could choose I'd prefer no family setting, just live by myself, this becuase I think nuclear families are too tightwounded and it's better to be brought up by a plethora of different people instead of just 2 people and a few brothers or sisters.

In the end the extended family. (especially uncles and grandmothers/fathers) can be really a pain in the ass too. But I think it's easier to move yourself in such a large group than a smaller one. Honestly.

So I'd prefer extended family I think, but I also enjoy my privacy. So I'd like my own room.

In the end I think family, or at least blood-related family can be more of a hassle than a real benefit. (besides the obvious monetary advantages)

The real issue here is if there is somebody in the family that will take you under their wing, ya dig?

I was gonna say this. I'm a low-drama and independent person. I would explode if I had as much family meddling as, say, my polish friends.

Yeah, privacy can be an issue in an extended family depending on your family. In the end, it comes down to how great of a family you have,
