it's good to remember that the only other person with his sheer scope of influence is Tolkien, sad since he died broke

Color Out of Space is a pretty good start for anyone

how many times did he say the word eldritch in CoC
i know his 'older' style of writing can be kind of jarring for some people to read, along with the fact that his signature pioneered genre of Existential horror doesn't hit quite as hard as it did in 1940's christian america now that every queer and their dog is a nihilist these days but the themes and otherworldly concepts are the real treat here


reminder we wouldn't have bloodborne if it wasn't for this man :whew

I've never read any of his stuff. I actually am kind of curious though since it's probably right up my alley.
